Kristi grew up in Michigan and moved to Tuscaloosa, AL to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in chemistry and Spanish. After, she received her M.D. from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Kristi completed her transitional year internship with Wayne State University in Rochester, MI, followed by her ophthalmology residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She trained at Duke in Durham, NC for a 1 year fellowship in glaucoma. 

Kristi brings a strong clinical and surgical background in comprehensive ophthalmology and glaucoma, and she is excited to take care of patients in Alaska, while enjoying the natural wonders of the state.
